Ok that's good to know thx. I'm fast approaching working out an example to include in this dissertation; so would love to to try those out and document the approach you've developed as exemplar extraordinaire. I'm looking to show off a DF outcome relevant to this Novella I've written to include in it. (I continued that MIND::STACK::SWITCH short into 3 acts. Turns out the Novella had a special place back in the Renaissance for commentary and "surfacing of the things" people didn't want to see or talk about; yet could encounter in the safe haven of the fictive...).
It would be an interesting idea if the entire novella could be fed into GPT and it shot out several images of possible Design Fiction examples (based on some training on how to go about picking out bits of the prose - some context on the story and then last direct exposure to the fictive prose....even to simply ask it to "illustrate the story" in x pictures per Act.....hmmm.
I used to hire scifi writers to pen short stories that i would extract design fiction artifacts out of. creating things that felt like they belonged in the world. now i'm feeding AI with worldbuilding context that i can use to extract artifacts from. check today's post "AI on Board", where i feed GPT policy and asked GPT to come up with ideas around future implications of said policy. Short story would work similarly.
Hey Dré - well rendered and the copy is so matter of fact - enjoyed this one!! (and many others like finding the creativity podman (pocketpal) ! These images are getting very tight drawing me in as designed - using midjourney or combo of software? (I'm still following out here, but deep deep into dissertation land - the horizon is springtime...if I live through the winter of my soul ; ))
A fairly straightforward post today, because I was so busy doing other things I didn’t have time to elaborate. Nice to know that it still resonated. As far as what I’m using, I don’t really use mid journey that much these days. I like the stable, diffusion a lot, and I have also been using the image generator inside of ChatGPT on account of having created some design fiction related GPT’s. I’ve got a couple, but I might share with you for some feedback.
I feel like I would NEED these just to survive. Essential self care in the "meta"verse. But also imagining the machines (facial recog) would detect the glasses so I'll be vying for the contact lens version.

I appreciate the inversion here.
