Very Cool! I'm also constantly tweaking role-playing games I have played/read about into design fiction scaffolding.
I'll give this a go later today. If I don't forget, I'll swing you a link to my current work in progress on the NFL discord. would love to get your thoughts on it.
Just ran a quick generation of your digital one... well that was horrifying
Artifact: The Audit Cap. This sleek, dark gray baseball cap features an embedded biometric scanner within the brim, subtly inscribed with the Corporate Syndicate logo. It tracks the wearer’s stress levels and productivity metrics, displaying real-time data on a discreet LED panel that glows softly above the visor, visible only to the wearer.
Use Case: In the open-plan office of Syndicate Corp, employees don their Audit Caps as they settle into their workstations, the subtle glow of the panel surfacing their performance data for personal review. Colleagues glance over, gauging each other's efficiency like a social currency, while the unspoken pressure mounts to optimize every moment, transforming individual well-being into another line item on the quarterly audit report.
sounds like cool place to work. :) Mind you i didn't spent a lot time on the design fiction prompts, I was more excited about the mechanics. Hoping to update it so that anyone can adjust to their liking.
This is GREAT! Excited to continue using. Today this was my result:
Artifact: Media Ministry Endorsement Pamphlet. This pamphlet is a glossy, tri-fold brochure featuring the official seal of the Media Ministry, showcasing government-approved media outlets and campaigns. It includes vibrant graphics, concise descriptions of endorsed content, and QR codes linking to further information, making it visually appealing and informative.
Use Case: Organizations and individuals use this pamphlet at public events and community centers to promote trusted media sources, guiding citizens toward reliable information while reinforcing the government's commitment to media integrity. It often serves as a handout during workshops or public forums on media literacy.
Thanks. I'm curious what you thought of the AI-generated result. Good, bad, cliche, trash, insightful? Did it spark an idea in your brain? I'm interested in that.
Also, the AI generator is not designed to deliver world-class output, just a spark to nudge you in a direction.
I found the Use Case functions as a better creative prompt. The Artifact description isn't as inspiring, a bit cliché. But the Artifact description could instead be a kind of design constraint. Maybe reverse the order. Use Case and Audience first. Then some design constraints, like pamphlet, trifold (easy one pager print), must show official seal, optional to use QR codes. I could use the Use Case and Artifact prompts to draw a simple 4 scene narrative.
Hey Dré, this is really cool. I wanted to see what could happen with editing the intent table (and any other areas), but couldn't see how to do it. The architecture of this could allow for some customizable game constraints that I would be up for trying out (some related to health, education, etc.)
I came up with all of the data in this very quickly. A lot of it can be customized, ultimately, the dice refer to tables and you can make them whatever you want. Need positive food futures? Easy, just load the tables with that. Need banal and neutral robot futures. Sure. Lean hard into dystopian authoritarianism? ... actually ... just watch TV.
