I had a hard time finding a parking spot for the janky time machine near the conference center. The global E++ tech summit is this weekend a few years from now.
English becomes the biggest programming language thanks to the exponential rise of LLMs. E++ is the largest variant. Plain English but with fewer adverbs in lieu of more descriptive verbs, some rules around parent and child nouns, and a more blown-out and nuanced concept of if, then and else.
It’s so big that GitHub had to fork itself as LitHub (implemented using CoPilot of course) to house and organize the troves of applications and scripts written in E++, E#, Objective E and the original E (aka English). Don’t get me started on all the localized variants of the powerful language spin-offs like F++, Sscript, J$, NuC and so on (every other language).
I look forward to the conference and hope to learn more about this exciting world of natural language programming.
