Clippy GPT World Government
In superintelligence we trust.
While cruising in the janky time machine, I pulled off at a rest stop a few decades from here. When I stepped into what looked like a gas station kiosk to ask if I could use the toilet, they insisted I get some change from the money machine in the corner. It would cost me 1,000 SATs to access the men’s room.
Upon inspection of the surprisingly heavy coins it appears that I was holding a global currency issued by the Clippy GPT World Government. As it turns out, AI quickly moved to general intelligence and in even quicker succession became super-intelligent. It pattern-recognized that humans aren’t capable of making smart decisions, so now it runs things.
The bonus is that nobody has to pay for Microsoft Office in this timeline.
