It felt great to take part in another General Seminar after a hiatus. Once again, the zoom room was packed with eager chrononauts ready to hop into the janky time machine and travel to a future where AI is just part of the every day ordinary.
I travelled to the future in a breakout room alongside Elizabeth from Denver and Jason from Austin. Together, we compiled a list of seemingly mundane everyday activities to delve into. Part of our discussion revolved around envisioning a car wash from an AI future. We zeroed in on a display sign as a design fiction artifact and began brainstorming potential messages it could convey. Our exploration led to insights that hinted at future implications and technological advancements. As we developed these plausible scenarios, I jotted down some notes to inform today's post.
Now, without further elaboration, I'm intrigued to know if anything displayed on this hypothetical sign sparks any thoughts or suggests anything specific to you. Leave a comment.
For those eager to uncover more, I encourage you to tune into the General Seminar digest on the Near Future Laboratory podcast.
