I was filled with anticipation at the prospect of watching Disney's "Oppenheimer II: Shadow of the Atom," directed by Michael Bay, on the grandeur of IMAX 70mm film. Unfortunately, the release was still a good half-dozen years away in my timeline. Unable to curb my enthusiasm, I turned to the janky time machine to catch it on opening night at the impressive Hulu AMC Colossus Cinema.
While queuing for popcorn and the new sensation of diet water, my eye was caught by a curious chart hanging among the posters. This chart advised viewers on the myriad AI technologies now embedded within movies. To my surprise, I discovered that many films had symbols from this chart prominently displayed on the marquees above the theater doors.
I might have to take another trip back to explore what all the fuss is about. The fusion of AI and cinema seems to be more intricate and pervasive than I'd ever imagined, and it's sparked a curiosity I can't ignore. It's a brave new world of entertainment.
